The detail to plan around
HYROX has postponed the October 31–November 1 event. Replacement dates have not been confirmed on the organizer page reviewed for this guide. Ticket holders should check their booking email. Do not make nonrefundable travel arrangements around the original dates.
What ticket holders should do now
- Read the organizer’s postponement notice and the email linked to your booking. Save the booking reference and the original ticket confirmation.
- Check whether you need to request a change or wait for a new announcement. Refund, transfer and deferral terms depend on the organizer’s instructions; a replacement date is not yet confirmed here.
- Review flight and hotel cancellation deadlines separately. Ask your providers about amendments before a deadline passes.
- Only rebuild the race itinerary after the date, venue and your division are confirmed.
Getting to the Shanghai venue
Pause event-specific travel booking until HYROX confirms the replacement date and venue. The original plan referenced Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center; do not confuse it with Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Once confirmed, build the route from the airport you are actually using.
Check current transport service, parking and the event’s bag policy before departure. Contact the organizer with your date and division for step-free access, assistance or accessible spectator arrangements.
Originally planned venue map — reconfirm before travel
The map below shows the originally planned Shanghai venue. HYROX has postponed the race; confirm the replacement date, venue and entrance before using it for race travel.
HYROX Shanghai race-floor layout
Shanghai is postponed, and HYRESULT does not currently show a venue layout for this event. Check the Shanghai venue page on HYRESULT. A replacement-event layout must match the organizer’s confirmed new dates and venue before you use it for race planning. Map availability checked October 23, 2026.
Where to stay for HYROX Shanghai
Keep any new accommodation booking refundable while the event is postponed. If you already booked, check your own cancellation deadline and ask the hotel or booking provider about changes. Do not assume HYROX's ticket arrangements also change your flight or hotel booking.
Compare cancellation terms and checkout times as well as the journey. For a late wave, ask about luggage storage. These are hotel-area suggestions; no room availability is assumed.
Things to do around the venue and in Shanghai
Choose an outing you can shorten before racing. Neighborhood options and separate city trips are labeled below; check current opening hours and admission requirements directly.
The Bund
Independent city visit. If you are traveling to Shanghai anyway, a waterfront visit can remain part of a separate city itinerary. Treat it as tourism, not an activity scheduled around an unconfirmed race wave.
Shanghai Museum
Independent cultural outing. Consider a museum visit if your travel dates stay fixed. Confirm the branch, booking requirements and current exhibitions directly before setting out.
Pudong riverfront
Flexible outdoor option. Keep a short riverfront walk as a flexible option that does not require committing to race-day logistics. Rebuild the event itinerary after the organizer announces the replacement arrangements.
Plan the local details with Shanghai visitor information.
A practical plan for your trip
If you still visit Shanghai on your original travel dates, treat it as a standalone city break. Keep the Bund or a museum visit independent of the race, and remove assumed check-in times from your itinerary. Once a replacement race is announced, revisit the venue journey and accommodation from scratch.
What to pack
Pack your ticket, required ID, familiar race kit, dry clothes and a phone charger. Check the bag and bottle policy before adding food or drinks. Agree on a post-race meeting point with supporters.
How to find HYROX Shanghai results
Use results.hyrox.com for official results. Select the matching season, Shanghai event and division, then search by name or bib. Youngstars is listed separately where offered. Results and splits appear when published by the organizer.
For a missing result, double-check the event and division, then contact the organizer. This guide does not display live timings.
Race preparation and familiar routines
Adult HYROX races combine running with workout stations; division rules determine the requirements. Review the official race format and the current rulebook linked by the organizer. For training ideas before your trip, read XWERKS’ HYROX preparation workouts.
Keep race-week meals, drinks and products familiar. An event offer is not a reason to try something new immediately before your start. For product context, read our HYROX supplement guide.
