A clinical trial of 36 young, active men found significant increases in physical performance after 12 weeks of supplementing with ashwagandha compared to the placebo group. Compared to the placebo group, the ashwagandha users saw an average max squat increase of 42lbs vs 22lbs, max bench press increase of 28lbs vs 17lbs and a 21% vs 14% improvement in a 7.5m cycling time trial.
